Welcome to my learning portfolio!

Hi! I'm Ashton Flaherty, and I am a third year Neuroscience major at the University of Cincinnati! I grew up near Columbus, Ohio and spent lots of time with friends and family. I enjoy making people smile and laugh, hanging out with my friends, going to discover the best chai latte recipe, or watching New Girl. With my dream of exploring the growing field of Genetic Counseling, I was brought to UC to let my passions of biology and helping others come to light! Having a gateway to aiding others while using a science background makes me excited for my future and to learn the skills necessary. I look forward to eventually making a difference in at least one person's life and therefore knowing that what I am accomplishing is worthwhile. I have explored research while in school, along with involving myself in programs such as Crisis Text Line during my spare time. I look forward to where my education takes me and how I can get involved within campus!
